The Abington Police Athletic League (PAL) is enthusiastically preparing for the fifth annual International Food Festival to be held Tuesday, October 9 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at our new venue, the beautiful and spacious Philmont Country Club in Huntingdon Valley. Our new location will enable us to accommodate even more guests than last year’s capacity crowd of 600 people. We also look forward to signature samplings from area restaurants, caterers and beverage purveyors. This is Abington PAL’s major annual fundraiser, which is key to providing the needed funds to develop and maintain programs since no tax dollars are used for PAL. This past year, we ran our first, highly successful Bowling Program involving 5th-12th graders who learned the skills to enjoy this game. We also ran our first Outward Bound program and have now begun our summer Golf Camp. We took our kids to the Eagles Training Camp this summer and hope to repeat that exciting trip this year. All of this in addition to the weekly programs and activities that are available to our PAL kids. We are asking for you help by donating an item, service, gift certificate, basket of goodies, or any article that could used in either our silent or live auction.
