Cops vs. PAL kids… and the kids took the win! The Abington officers and PAL kids went head to head in a fun (and competitive) dodgeball game, and while the cops didn’t come out on top, everyone had an amazing time.
As we celebrate PAL’s 25th anniversary this year, it’s a great reminder of what PAL is all about, promoting healthy youth activities and creating opportunities for growth. Through educational and recreational programs, PAL brings kids together with law enforcement and community volunteers who serve as mentors and positive role models.

Janet S. Klein
We are deeply saddened by the passing of Abington PAL Board Member Janet S. Klein.
Janet was the beloved wife of our Founding Board President, Lew Klein, as well as a remarkable and accomplished woman in her own right. Throughout her life, she dedicated herself to her community and to preserving Philadelphia’s rich history. Her many accomplishments included serving on the Philadelphia Historical Commission, and the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission. She also served on the Board of Visitors at Temple Ambler and at Temple University’s Klein College of Media and Communication.
Janet had a special place in her heart for children and was deeply passionate about their education, particularly the importance of reading. She was also a tremendous advocate for the Abington P.D. She was a dear friend to Chief Pat Molloy, and former Chief Bill Kelly.
Janet’s service and dedication to the Abington Police Athletic League will never be forgotten. We are incredibly grateful to Janet and to her family for her years of friendship, service, and support of PAL.
Her legacy will live on through the many lives she touched and the causes she championed.
